Traditional (Mercury ) Tilt Switchs & Controls:
The tilt switch is actuated to 15 deg. from its vertical position due to marterial rise or plugged chute conditions, tripping the switch. Used for stacker reclaimers, radial stackers, high level for bins, vessels, high pile detector, and plugged chute applications. Availiable in standard rating and Class I & II, Fm Approved (X-Proof). Tilt switch controls available for standard and Class I & II, Fm Approved (X-Proof). Controls have (2) normally-open and normally-closed output contactsavailable for external alarms.
Non-Mercury/Mercury-Free Tilt Switches and Controls:
The tilt switch is actuated to 15 Deg. from its vertial position in full 360 Deg of direction due to rise of material or plugged chute conditions, tripping the switch. Instead of mercury, a combination of opto-electronics and solid state circuitry are used inside the probe. Used in all of the same applications as standard mercury filled probes. Available with control units in Filed mount NEMA 4, filed mount NEMA 4X, and DIN mount NEMA 1. All controls available with time delay to prevent false alarms.
